Saturday is Bastille Day, and Sunday the French take on Croatia in the World Cup. It’s good to be French this weekend! Of course, it’s also good to be in San Francisco, where you can celebrate right along with the best of them.
On Saturday, from 10 AM to 7 PM, take in all the sights and sounds at Bastille Day 2018, where you’ll find French food, live music, wine and beer, a vintage car show, a kids playground, and more. It takes place at Embarcadero Plaza and admission is free.
Later that evening you can celebrate Bastille Day in Belden Place, a European style alley known for its alfresco dining — often dubbed the French Quarter of San Francisco.
Then wake up the next morning, grab some croissants, and watch the World Cup live on a big outdoor screen with thousands of others in Civic Center Plaza! If you’d prefer to root for Croatia on Sunday, you’re certainly welcome to do so.
