Founded in 1957, organizers say the San Francisco International Film Festival is the longest-running film festival in the Americas. Held each spring for two weeks and highly anticipated by its loyal, passionate audiences, SFFILM Festival is an extraordinary showcase of cinematic discovery and innovation, featuring more than 180 films and live events with upwards of 100 filmmakers in attendance and nearly two dozen awards presented for excellence in film craft.
This year the festival began on April 4 and ends on April 17. That means there are still many more movies to see, as they are presented day and night. To see the festival’s calendar of events and screenings, please click here.
