It’s been awhile since we’ve talked about the Golden State Warriors, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t paying attention. The Warriors routed the Orlando Magic yesterday and play the Miami Heat tonight. Golden State is currently riding a seven game winning streak, and that includes notable blowout wins last week against Cleveland, Oklahoma City, and Houston – all talented teams with title aspirations and expectations. We’re talking about you LeBron.
The Warriors have the best record in the league, with 38 wins and only six losses. Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant have already been named All-Star Game starters, and Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are likely to be added to the team when reserves are announced on Thursday.
As if all of this isn’t enough, last Tuesday the Warriors broke ground on their $1 billion, privately funded San Francisco arena. The team expects it to open in time for the 2019-2020 NBA season.
It’s an exciting team, and these are exciting times!
