Art-Monday-Jump-Start

We have a few rainy days ahead of us, and if you managed to complete all your holiday shopping, then a visit to the de Young Museum might be the perfect way to spend an afternoon. What’s more, between now and February 26, you can take in a truly extraordinary exhibition, Frank Stella: A Retrospective.

It is the first comprehensive U.S. exhibition of the artist’s work since 1970. The installation features about 50 large-scale works, including paintings, wall-mounted reliefs, and three-dimensional sculptures. For almost six decades Stella has been one of the most important and influential figures in modern art. If you have a chance to see this exhibition, you’ll immediately understand why.
