We know what you’re thinking. It doesn’t snow in San Francisco. We don’t have ski resorts here. But don’t let geography and climate issues get in the way of a good post. After all, isn’t Lake Tahoe – just a few hours beyond our city limits – as much a part of San Francisco as sourdough bread? San Franciscans have been traveling to Tahoe for generations.
The big news here is Boreal is opening tomorrow, and Northstar, Heavenly, Squaw and Alpine Meadows are scheduled to open on the 23rd. Snowmaking machines have been hard at work preparing the slopes for this early part of the season.
Fingers crossed for a great year of skiing and snowboarding!
