The Elite Cafe reopened its doors yesterday after a temporary closure since March of this year. Andy Chun and Jan Wiginton who also own Schroeder’s, Pacific Cocktail Haven and Press Club have taken over ownership of the beloved New Orleans inspired spot.
Many fans of the Cafe were concerned that the change in ownership would cause the restaurant to lose its roots, but thankfully, the new owners are sticking to Elite Cafe’s original concept.
Executive chef Chris Borges, a Nola native has created a new and exciting menu, including entrees such as crawfish etoufee, chicken jambalaya and red beans and rice. You can preview the full menu here.
The hours of operation for Elite Cafe will be 5pm – midnight Monday – Friday and 10am-midnight Saturday and Sunday.
