Oh to be a dog in San Francisco. Loving owners, luxury goods and lush parks can all be found in this pet-friendly city, and now our lovable canines have another park to add to their explorations. City officials opened a new dog park on Tuesday, which is an addition to Lafayette Park in Pacific Heights.
Located at the corner of Gough and Washington streets, this is the first of all twenty nine dog play areas in the City that features synthetic grass. The $305,000 project includes a new gate and metal fencing as well as artificial turf.
Rec & Park General Manager Phil Ginsburg explained at the dog park’s official opening that the park will not have to close during the winter months, and both dogs and owners can enjoy the facility even during the rainy season.
Looks like the dogs of Pacific Heights have a new place to play which we’re sure will make them very happy! If you would like some other ideas on where you can bring your dog for a stroll in the City, click here.
