This weekend marks the 66th Annual San Francisco Juneteenth Festival which will take place on Saturday from 10am. The event is the oldest celebration of African-Americans in Northern California, and commemorates the end of slavery in the US. It is a wonderful local event that will include a special Prince tribute performance along with live music throughout the day, a parade, classic car and motorcycle show, pony rides and much more. Additional information on the event can be found here.
Sunday sees the opening day of the Stern Grove Festival which will take place from June 19 – August 21. This weekend sees Janelle Monae take to the stage, as well as local soul and funk band Midtown Social. The concert is free to attend and kicks off at 2pm, however early arrival is recommended if you want to get a good view!
On the “Homes for Sale in San Francisco” front, here’s our report for this week, 6/12/16 – 6/18/16:
Hill & Co. Real Estate recently introduced Jill Gumina as its new Sales Manager in Noe Valley. Jill’s resume speaks for itself. Previously, she served as President and COO for Coldwell Banker in Southern California overseeing over 1,500 agents. More recently, she was a Sales Manager with Zephyr Real Estate in San Francisco.
It is said that when people choose to become agents, they don’t get into real estate – rather real estate gets into them. The business requires extraordinary commitments of time and energy, and agents rely on the support and counsel they receive from their management team. Jill has a wonderful reputation in the industry, and a good deal of it is based on her dedication and commitment to her agents and their clients.
The south side of San Francisco has become a very important and dynamic part of the City’s real estate market. We are well represented throughout its communities and neighborhoods, and that presence will only continue to grow through Jill’s leadership. We’re all very excited to welcome her!
