Get your festival season off to a roaring start and head to the 2016 How Weird Street Faire. This is the 17th year of the fair in San Francisco and it has been highly successful to date. The event takes place on Sunday, May 1st at 2nd and Howard from noon- 8pm.
The event is organized by the World Peace Through Technology Organization and they describe the event as “the most diverse gathering the planet has ever seen.” Expect to see an array of art and performers, street vendors and lots of weird and wonderful costumes roaming the streets of SOMA. There will be 10 stages with music from a variety of bands and an expanded Art Gallery on Tehama Street off of 2nd. The festival celebrates diversity, multiculturalism and peace with people from all around the world, all while having a great time!
The event is technically free, but a donation of $20 at the door will get you discounted drinks and multiple freebies throughout the faire. More information can be found here.
