Get ready to lay eyes on a sea of green throughout the City this weekend as the 165th Annual St Patrick’s Day Festival hits SF. The Parade will take place this Saturday, March 12th at 11:30am, and begins at the corner of 2nd and Market.
It is known to be one of the most popular events in the San Francisco calender, and this year is sure to be no different! Over 100 floats, dancers and performers will make their way towards Civic Center Plaza where the festival will run until 5pm.
This year the theme of the parade will be “Celebrating the 1916 Rising”, in conjunction with the centenary of the 1916 Rising being commemorated in Ireland this year. The parade is a celebration of the Irish community and culture throughout San Francisco and this year is sure to be bigger than ever!
It is a free event and a great day out for all ages so make sure you get down there and celebrate like the Irish for the day! If you would like any more information on the Parade, you can find it here.
