After beating the Baltimore Ravens yesterday, 25 -20, the 49ers record is now two wins and four losses. Not great, but better than Baltimore’s record after the game, which is now one win and five losses. These two teams faced each other in the Super Bowl just a couple of years ago. Hard to believe, right?
Still, the 49ers showed signs of life. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick completed 16 of 27 passes for 340 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. In short, he had one of the best games of his career. The defense looked good until the fourth quarter, when they played soft and almost gave the game away to the Ravens – something they actually did last week in a loss to the New York Giants.
So what’s your assessment now of these 49ers? We’ll know more Thursday night, when they play the Seattle Seahawks – a team that came within a hair of defeating the New England Patriots in last year’s Super Bowl. Like the 49ers, the Seahawks have two wins and four losses so far this season. Again, hard to believe!
