Thank you Giants for another fabulous year. You didn’t make the playoffs, but you kept it interesting until the season’s final week, and even after elimination, each game played at home was very special in its own way.
We’re saying goodbye after this season to pitchers Tim Hudson and Jeremy Affeldt, and possibly some others in the coming weeks and months. But the injury-plagued Giants had the chance this year to say hello to a couple of really remarkable rookies, who performed extraordinarily well on the big league level. We’re talking about you Matt Duffy and Kelby Tomlinson, among others.
We’re already looking forward to next year. After all, world series wins in 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016 has a nice symmetry and ring to it, don’t you think?
