On the “Homes for Sale in San Francisco” front, here’s our report for this week, 9/20/15 – 9/26/15:
One of our favorite real estate consultants, Carole Rodoni, was in our office again the other day, talking about the market. She pointed out that while in general the U.S. economy continues to recover, in Silicon Valley and San Francisco, the revolution continues. Service and customization are keys now for business, and our area is reinventing industries with these two factors in mind. Consequently, we now have the highest median income in the world. She says that unfortunately, affordability has always been a problem in San Francisco, and it will continue to be so.
Her near future predictions? Our local real estate market probably won’t change much, but perceptions might. Buyers are going to be a bit more hesitant, especially at the higher end. Stock market setbacks are partly to blame. Some sellers, meanwhile, were carried away by recent price gains, and now we’re seeing some price reductions at the top because they shot too high at the start.
Nevertheless, there is still tremendous buyer demand in San Francisco, as buyers continue to seek homes in the zip codes they desire, in order to enjoy what for them would be the perfect lifestyle.
